Heroes never rest, especially in Neverwinter. The adventures in the cold North are over, so now it’s time to return home to Neverwinter. Store your treasures, drink some tea, relax a bit. But you can never relax too much, especially in an MMORPG. Trouble is coming, as rumors are going around taverns about magic and uprisings, so the heroes need to prepare themselves. Lord Neverember is in need of assistance, as he wants to reclaim the forgotten River District. Are you ready to go on another adventure in Neverwinter: The Cloaked Ascendancy?
New Adventure Zone: The River District
Lord Neverember decided to expand upon Neverwinter, so he’s going to open up the River District. But he can’t do that alone, so he’s asking brave adventurers to help him in this task. More precisely, he needs help with securing the port and the land. If guard posts are stated and secure the area, wealth can be recovered from deserted mansions and even crypts. However, there’s a problem as some powerful wizards also laid claim to the River District, and one of them even claimed supremacy over the entirety of Neverwinter.
The River District has a new campaign with alternate paths that all lead to the same destination.
More Treasure Hunting
The River District has lots of hidden treasures for players to find. All you need is a map. When the River District starts opening up, new trading deals will arise. You can defend treasure caravans and trade with traveling merchants to get fresh supplies of Voninblod and other valuable treasures in exchange for precious resources from the River District.
New Skirmish: The Illusionist’s Gambit & The Return of the Spellplague Caverns
In this skirmish you will go against a mad illusionist that has a lot of combat combinations. Being prepared isn’t enough against an illusionist. When you get tired of the mad illusionist, you can try out the remastered Spellplague Caverns. Both the standard and the Master versions are available with new challenges, dangerous new boss fights, and lots of new loot waiting for you.
This Neverwinter expansion is definitely looking interesting, so be sure to check out Neverwinter: The Cloaked Ascendancy as soon as you can.
