The latest round of comments and changes for Storm King’s Thunder, part of the free-to-play MMORPG Neverwinter have arrived, detailing alterations to the maze engine and invocation changes.
From the maze engine perspective, Arc games are acting on player feedback, specifically regarding the length of new quests. This will be cut down by giving players one instance or overworld tasks instead of both, which will match the quest length as it is on live. Also, by slightly increasing the XP given from the “Supporting the Factions” daily tasks, it will in turn be equivalent to that given from the “Defending the Sword Coast” task to make them equal.
In terms of invocation changes, its reiterated that if you play the game “normally” then there shouldn’t be a limit regarding bonus AD, and you should be able to claim more than before. There is also a cap on the total boost value that you can earn, which may be unwelcome news for some fans but rest assured, the cap is set real high at 100,000 AD. This would mean you would have to invoke all day every day for almost a month to hit reach the limit without losing anything. For the full list of notes including character balances click here.
