Have you ever played Neverwinter before? It’s a MMORPG that was released in 2013, but even after almost 4 years, the game is still getting regular content updates and patches, and judging from the reviews on Steam, it is also still quite enjoyable. It does belong to the older type of MMORPGs, so don’t expect flashy, hectic combat or unique quest systems, but it does have a lot of content for you to play through and enjoy. Today we take a look at the patch notes for the 9/21 maintenance.
Let’s start things off with some bug fixes. For those of you that visited Port Nyanzaru, the Adventure Zone within Chult, you probably got stuck between the entry door and the invisible collision, so that got fixed, and the Templars that you save in this zone will no longer stutter in their running animation.
As players always seem to find exploits when it comes to certain bosses, the Avatar of Orcus from the Tomb of the Nine Gods will now reset if you pull it out of the arena. Also, there were cases where players reported that Ras Nsi sometimes didn’t drop any loot due to high lag, which has been fixed with this maintenance. For all of you explorers that have ventured into the Sea of Moving Ice, you will now be able to claim the treasure chest that can be found beneath a destroyed and overthrown sea vessel.
As far as the balancing of classes goes, only the Devoted Cleric and the Scourge Warlock received some changes. Notably, Devoted Cleric’s skills Break the Spirit, Forgemaster’s Flame, Sun Burst, and Warding Flare now apply the Empowered bonuses as they should be and casting Exaltation and Divine Glow on high-Deflection targets should no longer make you lose half of your expected Action Points gain. Scourge Warlock got his Warlock’s Bargain fixed and now it should cause infinite damage loops, and his Aura of Despair will no longer cause invalid deflections. Also, several healing effects will no longer be dodgeable.
