Perfect World Entertainment has announced the Shroud of Souls update for the free-to-play MMORPG Neverwinter: The Cloaked Ascendancy, which is now available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The final survivor of the Cloaked Ascendancy brings fair warning that a dragonborn necromancer armed with an arsenal of deadly abilities, including the summoning of an army of wraiths. This in turn brings a brand new threat to the River District once more in the latest update, which also provides improvements to both co-op and competitive gameplay, plus Strongholds guilds.
This update brings a brand new story as briefly outlined above, as you take on a brand new foe rife with evil spirits. Also, the new loadouts feature allows players to create gear Loadouts to cater to all your Neverwinter outings, whether your making your way through dungeons or indulging in skirmishes, PvP or Strongholds. As well as Strongholds Marauders too being included, which includes a new Siege event, there’s also customizable Guild Halls which adds a new social space for adventurers to show off their guild’s achievements.
As previously announced, the Protector’s Jubilee is now underway, lasting until June 27th. This event commemorates the game’s fourth anniversary, including special quests and many other festivities to celebrate the game’s latest milestone. It’s hard to believe that it’s been four years already, so be sure to log in whilst the festivities last all week long and gain some neat rewards.
Neverwinter is now available as a free-to-play game on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
