Dark and Light is a survival style RPG set within a deep fantasy world. Not only are there fierce creatures that will totally kill you, but there’s also magic and elemental forces that are out to get you as well. The massive game requires a lot of fine-tuning because of it being in Steam Early Access, so, the team likes to update the players as much as they can. Therfore, they do a weekly update called the Archos Herald, where they break down all the recent changes to the game. The 13th issue of the Herald just came out, and here are highlights.
First up, the past week has been big for the Structure Decay system, multiple updates have been made to both update and refine that system. Then, for anyone who has wanted to be a Necromancer in the game, they have added new Schemas for you in the “Dark Magic” node. So be sure to enjoy that, as you can now bring the Soul Mire and the Devil Bringer.
Moving onto the creatures of Dark and Light, the team has updated the game to help build the abilities of creature specializations. Their passive skills will give them new abilities which can be extremely helpful. For example, if you happen to have a Tamed Albino Deer, you can now gather Magic Shards at a much better rate. Or, if you’re wanting to collect wood at a much better rate, consider getting a Grut Stag, as that’s their passive ability.
Now, the team wants to make sure that your voice is heard, so if you have any thoughts on the patches and updates that Dark and Light have had, just go to the forums for the game and make your voice heard, and be sure to check out the full issue of the Archos Herald to hear more from the game itself.
