October is finally here, and with it arrives the October Ranked Play Season in Hearthstone, which is now live. With its arrival, a brand new card back has been unveiled for players to add to their expansive collections.
Players are invited to add the Unholy Knight card back to their packs whilst playing Hearthstone throughout the month, spreading plague and decay throughout the game with some impressive and gangrenous card art. These backs will show of player collections by replacing the art decoration on the card’s reverse side, and can be obtained by reaching Rank 20 in Standard or Wild Ranked Play modes. The card will be given out at the end of October’s Ranked Play Season, found in your Ranked Play reward chest.
Ranked Play reward chests can be earned based on the individual highest earned rank over the course of the season. These chests may contain seasonal card backs, golden cards and Arcane Dust, and are gained through both Standard and Wild Ranked Play modes. One chest per Ranked Play season will be awarded based on your highest rank.
As an added incentive, players will earn more bonus stars next season based on a far they move up the Ranked Play ladder, with one bonus star being attained per rank. It’s worth noting that you’ll need to log in at least once each ranked season to qualify for the card back reward, regardless of whether you have enough bonus stars to take you to Rank 20 or not.
