New patch notes for Neverwinter version NW.85.20170808a.17 are here. Have you visited the game since the Tomb of Annihilation was released? It brought quite a lot of content to the game, such as the Tomb of the Nine Gods, a brand new dungeon with loads of traps and puzzles to plague your team. Tomb of Annihilation also introduced the new “hunt” system which allows you to track down rare monsters with bounties on their heads.
But when it brought lots of new content, the Tomb of Annihilation also brought some bugs with it. The developers are working hard on fixing them, as they just released a patch not too long ago, and today we take a look at the patch notes for game version NW.85.20170808a.17.
Let’s start with the changes to hunting targets. Whenever you kill a rare beast on your hunt, it will drop a lore entry. The House of the Crocodile quest shouldn’t get stuck as often as it did. The Summer Festival’s profession tasks to make Guild Feasts will now be properly repeatable. A bug was also found in Portobello’s Game: Artificer’s Workshop that made the final Beholder Tank click to be stuck in a non-interactable state. The bug should be fixed, but the updated interaction still has some issues.
General changes also made their way to Neverwinter, and now the River District no longer doubles up on Ritual Timers, and the frame rate in Fangbreaker Island won’t decrease when the Dragon Turtle uses its Body Slam ability. Lastly, there are some item and economy changes. The Primal and Pioneer Chest Armor had their stats adjusted. And for some reason, the Aboleth Artifact Weapons and their Impending Death effect should no longer make enemies dance. Apparently, there was too much dancing.
