The launch of the Nintendo Switch was a strong one, with gamers everywhere buying the console portable hybrid as soon as it hit store shelves. Still, some eagerly anticipating players ended up getting the short end of the stick, with the console being hard to come by for many. Nintendo has released a report to the Wall Street Journal, stating that they intend to double production of the console for the next several months.
Those who felt unable to get their hands on this console will now have an opportunity to buy it, as the console is being produced in far larger quantities than before. If you’ve been eagerly anticipating your shot at the Switch, this may very well be it.
The console hit a strong launch, with numerous titles being incredibly critically acclaimed, such as the surprise hit Snipperclips and perhaps the most anticipated title of all time, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which has received the most consistently perfect scores in industry history.
That being said, even more titles are on the way, from Nintendo’s fun and competitive shooter sequel Splatoon 2 to games like Fire Emblem Warriors and Super Mario Odyssey later in the year. The opportunity for gamers to try unique and original titles on this console are plentiful without a doubt.
Nintendo had an incredibly large booth at PAX East in which they showcased the new battle modes in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and some games set to launch later this year like ARMS.
The Nintendo Switch retails at 299.99 USD and will hopefully be available in stores near you before long.
