Less than a month remains until the launch of the brand new Nintendo Switch, and if you weren’t excited enough already, Nintendo has you covered. Perhaps the biggest live TV event of the year, the Superbowl is known both for its incredibly suspenseful games and its hilarious and entertaining commercials. Getting a spot during the Superbowl is no easy feat, and there’s a lot of hype to live up to when it happens, but Nintendo is rarely a company to let us down in that regard.
This ad combines the best of both worlds, focusing on the practical application of the Nintendo Switch’s portable nature, as well as some of the bigger games announced for the console. The version that aired during the sporting event was focused almost entirely on Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild which will launch with the console on March 3rd. This extended cut shows off some other titles such as ARMS and Splatoon 2.
