Last year they offered $25, 000 to students who have the brains and the ambition to do some amazing breakthroughs in the GPU field of technology, and this year, the Graduate Fellowship Program doubled their amount, so students have $50, 000 to help them out with their ideas and plans.
GPU-based research is hard, so NVIDIA is trying to make it a worthwhile task, giving money to help with the costs of such a hard assignment. Don’t think it’s easy to impress NVIDIA, as they’re looking for outstanding GPU breakthroughs in the world, so make sure you come to impress!
Doctoral students that are excellent in the fields of AI, deep neural networks, autonomous vehicles and such fields are especially important this year to NVIDIA. The whole NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship Program started way back in 2002, and since then, over 130 grants were awarded to brilliant students, which means more than $3 million was given to those that earned it.
NVIDIA is looking for students that completed their first year of Ph.D.-level studies. If you’re looking to apply for the program, you need to be studying computer science, computer engineering, system architecture, electrical engineering or another related area. Students that are interested must be engaged in research topics that involve finding innovative ways of leveraging the power of the GPU.
The deadline for submitting applications is January 16th, 2017, so you still have time to apply!
