There are always certain challenges when playing certain kinds of video games. However, there are some video game genres that have extra challenges, usually pertaining to ones that have multiple characters you can play as, as each play differently. With each being unique in skillsets and abilities, it can take a while to master them all. This goes especially for a game like Overwatch, where there are 23 characters that you can play as.
For the last 9 months, players have been pouring over the roster, and seeing which character suits their desired playstyle. In the process, many players have thought about which characters are harder to use. For Battle.net player rLa two characters stood out as both fun to play as, but hard to control without skill: McCree, and Widowmaker. He then posed the question to his fellow players about who it is harder to play as.
Many players believe Widowmaker is harder simply because of how her characters is built. By that, they mean that she is a sniper, and a sniper alone. She’s not the kind of character “to be on the front lines” like McCree, and, according to players like Dreadnought, aiming for a sniper style kill shot can be problematic.
“Dialing in zoomed headshots takes precision and being off can make the difference. Then there’s disrupted aim from damage. That’s a pain.”
However, there were some that did think that McCree was the harder character to control for the reasons that other players think he was easy. Because he’s a “front line” character, he’s much easier to kill, and his guns only have a certain amount of range, whereas Windowmaker can hit you from all over and you’ll never see her. Also, according to players like RUHOHRAGGY, his Ultimate Attack is apparently one of the hardest in Overwatch to use.
“McCree’s ult is the hardest thing to use out of the both of them.”
