You have to hand it to Overwatch fans at times. Certain ones out there are so eagle-eyed, that they manage to collect data together to spot bugs that will ultimately help improve the game when shared on the relevant platform.
Reddit user iSinner has managed to collect a number of bugs for Overwatch hero Doomfist, as well as providing proof of each. There’s 18 bugs and counting, which affect his abilities in a number of ways. His Ghost Punch has been particularly affected, where in some instances the ability carries on going until it stops by itself. Meanwhile, other instances see Doomfist going through the target, with the punching animation halting before reaching the full punch distance.
There has also been issues with wall slides, in which punching a target into the wall doesn’t cause damage, but rather sees the sliding of the wall instead. Plus, there’s the bug in which Doomfist bounces off the walls, causing him to miss his target and potentially ending in death.
Thankfully, this has been responded to by Bill Warnecke, the lead software engineer for Overwatch at Blizzard. Warnecke responded:
“Hey folks, as always we greatly appreciate all of the effort that goes into a post like this. Thank you! Our gameplay QA team will dig through this once we are back in the office after the holiday. Cheers.”
Whilst this catalog of issues is being looked into, you can head over to Reddit to check out the bugs that have been found, along with the proof provided.
