In the world we live in there are many dangers, but some of the worse ones can be those we don’t see coming, and can take our lives before we can fight back. But even worse are the ones we’re told are untreatable, like Cancer. Cancer affects men and women of all shapes, sizes, and races, and as many are untreatable. So, it’s up to the men and women of science and medicine to try and fix that. But, it takes money to do so. Thankfully, there are people who are up to the task of raising money for causes like these. Such as Overwatch fans.
It may seem odd that the game that’s still taking the world by storm is being associated with Cancer research, but that’s exactly what’s happening with some streamers. They’re using the service (and their game skills) to raise money for cancer research. In this particular case, it’s the Orchid charity, which is specifically fighting male cancer.
As for the Overwatch crew, they’re headed up by Michael Hall, who is just asking that people pledge to the campaign that he’s running. There will be some cool things if you do, and you get to watch others play the game, it’s a win-win.
All pledges will be matched up to 2500 Euros, and it really is going to a great cause. Now, the campaign only has a few hours left, but that doesn’t mean you can’t pledge if you don’t get to see the Overwatch stuff, far from it, there’s many ways to pledge to help this charity.
So step up, and help fund a charity that’s trying to save lives, and if you have a similar kind of charity event, let us know, we’ll happily spread the word about it.
