There has been a lot of controversy as of late surrounding the support heroes in Overwatch. With the recent overhaul of Mercy, many players have found that she is not only overpowered, but the alterations emphasize the weaknesses of the other support characters, particularly for the likes of Ana.
Another issue has been raised for a support hero, this time concerning Lucio. In the game’s PTR, players have noticed that one of the character’s key abilities has been removed. Lucio’s wall jump speed boost appeared to have been taken out of the game. With many players hoping that this was just a bug, these hopes were confirmed by Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan, who revealed:
It’s just a bug on the PTR.
This will hopefully put any fears that Lucio’s ability had been taken out completely to bed. With the confirmation from Kaplan himself, it is bound to be fixed in the next update for the PTR when it rolls around.
