Overwatch is a big MMO that has a very big community, and because of that, the game gets patched often. Many times because of what’s discovered by fans. Today, Overwatch got a new patch, and with it came some interesting reactions from the fanbase.
First, the patch notes. There’s a new feature called the Simple Checkout. With it, purchasing Loot Boxes has never been easier. It’s a more streamlined system, sot that players can access more payment options from directly within the Overwatch client.
Other updates include that Blizzard has decreased the volume of passing cars on the Oasis background in the Hero Gallery. Because obviously it was too loud…obviously. Onto bug fixing, an important one was adjusted in regards to a bug that allowed Mercy to resurrect players that had fallen off the map to their death. Yep, that would be cheating, wouldn’t it?
On the map side, they fixed a bug to prevent the garden point on Oasis from being contested/captured from the second-floor walkway above it. They fixed a bug that allowed Sombra to reach unintended locations on several maps. Got to play fair everyone!
Also, though not mentioned in the Patch Notes, D.Va got an update too. They gave her 400 HP and 200 armor. Which is what’s getting the reaction from fans.
You see, some people have been tired of how long-lasting D.Va was with her health and armor, so even with the adjustments on her, the hate was still there:
She can be the Waifu of all the D.Va lovers once more!
While others are much more sympathetic, noting the correct stats, and saying that even in her mech, she’s not the OP (overpowered) character she once was.
Regardless, the patch is available now for download, be sure to get it to get all of these updates and more.
