Paladins: Champions of the Realm is a MOBA title that is currently in beta testing. In fact, they do a lot of testing with the community to ensure that everything is as good as it can be before it launches, and the community is grateful for that commitment. The newest patch for the MOBA should make players even happier, as it not only brings fixes and balances, but it brings a new champion into the mix for testing.
The new patch introduces Series, “Oracle of the Abyss.” Pictured below, her abilities include Soul Orb, Restore Soul, Rend Soul, Shadow Travel, and Convergence. For those wondering about her Card lineup, she has cards such as Soul Collector, Agony, Mortal Reach, Blood Pact, Bane, Dark Sight, Dark Whisper, Revenant, Sorceress, and more. Each has their abilities and powers that will allow you to do a variety of attacks
As for general fixes that Patch 48 brings, there have been some fixes to the Lobby. For example, now, your champion name and the role your champion plays will be shown when highlighted. You can also see the champion’s abilities when highlighted.
Other small changes include adding vibration to controllers for PC, being able to set Spectator settings at all times via the Options menu, as well as visual effects improvements.
Though not in this particular patch, the team behind Paladins is introducing Voice Chat to the PTS (Public Test Server), where they hope to test it before putting it into the main open beta. Though not in the patch, they do ask that you go to the forums for Patch 48 to reveal any issues you have had with Voice Chat.
And of course, like any good patch, there is a ton of balancing for the champions in the game. So be sure to check out the full Patch Notes so you know exactly what’s changed.
