Paladins: Champions Of The Realm is an action MOBA game that is slowly making its way to launch. However, the team at Hi-Rez Studios is taking their time to ensure the game is quality and that fans know and approve of what is coming in the game. Thus, they have an ever evolving Open Beta that they use as a QA testing ground of sorts, and each new version of the Beta helps improve the game even more. The latest version of the Beta has gotten some Patch Notes, and the team even took to Youtube to answer some questions about the patch and about Paladins in general.
First up, players will now be able to purchase Announcer Packs and equip them in order to change how they receive the in-game announcements. There have also been some additions to the Home panel, where a new tab will show off recent gains in the game as well as Daily Rewards.
There was also a string of bug fixes made, including a fix on the Report System, getting the correct prompt when selecting your region, some accuracy issues, and much more.
As for the Q&A, the Paladins team happily answered some deep questions about the game. For example, they were asked about reworking legendaries, and if they planned to do that. They said yes, and explained why:
“We realise that some legendaries aren’t the strongest options, and that we can do a better job of making sure there is equivalent value between the three choices. I’d like to do them all in one go, like have a patch where we rework a bunch of legendaries and let you tell us what you think.”
Another questions was about Master Rewards and when players can expect them. They replied:
“We will have some mastery news in the next couple of patches that will be pretty cool.”
