Updates and changes are paramount in games that are still in development, yet are in the eye of the public. Whether that be through betas or Steam Early Access. In the case of Paragon, things are still advancing with the open beta that is currently available for free for any and all who have a PS4 and PC. As such, developer Epic Games is working hard to make sure that Paragon is the best it can be from both a gameplay standpoint and from a visual one.
So, when the team decided to do some small cosmetic changes to some of their areas, they made a blog post detailing exactly what they had done. The team reveals that the upcoming v.39 update will give a visual boost to the Monolith. Many of the graphics and models in the area were temporary when it launched last December, but now you’ll be able to see it in its full graphics glory, complete with foliage.
But, that’s not the only place that’s gotten a boost. The Jungle has also received some changes in the update. First, the layout of the area has been changed, it’s intended to give the game more “flow”, while also opening it up for spacing and combat situations. Plus, parts of the level have been reworked, such as the camp locations. Though there is the same number of them, they aren’t in the same spots as they were before. Also, the collisions on the map have been improved to allow less exploitation.
The team promises that these won’t be the only places to see the graphics improvements or refinements, they’re just the ones you’ll see soon when the update hits. Apparently, a new hero will also be announced with the update hits, so you’ll want to stay close to Paragon to see who’s coming next.
