New characters bring a certain excitement to video games. Because for fighting games, MOBAs, even racers and MMORPGs, new characters mean new possibilities. Who are they? What are they like? What abilities do they have? How will they play? Will they be a good fit for me? These questions fuel the desire to get more and more characters in their respective games so you can try them out. This excitement is one of the backbones of the MOBA Paragon, who have just revealed one of their newest heroes.
Epic Games is once again fulfilling its promise of bringing more ranged characters to Paragon, as the hero known as Wraith is just that. The best part, you’ll be able to try him out very soon, as Wraith will arrive on the Paragon beta June 27th.
So, who is Wraith? Well, he’s the graduate of an elite special operations program known as Echelon. In fact, he was trained by the only other graduate of the school, Kallari. The difference between them though is pretty clear, as Kallari decided to go the assassin route, while Wraith is better at surveillance. Wraith uses his recon skills that he’s acquired along with his technology to get a leg up on his foes by learning everything he can about them, then exploiting weaknesses he finds.
As for his abilities, Wraith has some pretty cool skills. His “Knock, Knock!” attack is a long ranged shot, and if you kill someone with it, your mana and cooldown will recover in a shorter period of time.
“Who’s there?” will allow you to find out enemy locations via a tech droid, no one can hide from it. “Back it up!” can give you some space if an enemy gets to close, as you can warp them to the position they were a little while back. And “Surprise, Surprise!” takes Wraith and his foes into the Shadow Plane, giving Wraith a speed boost in the process.
The beta for Paragon is free and available to download now. So be sure to check him out, once he becomes available.
