When it comes to playing video games in an online setting, there are always dangers. The connection could fail, the server you’re playing on could be suffering difficulties, and arguably most important of all, the other players you might be facing may not play fair. This is sadly a common thread in online video games, but thankfully, the developers know this and almost always have a way for you to report wrongdoers to them so that they can try and take action. This is also true in the Epic Games MOBA Paragon, but to further show how much dealing with these players matters, they’ve upped the report feature.
The Paragon team understands that communication in these matters is very important, and so they’ve created the Player Action Report. This gives you an update on tickets/reports you have filed with the team, and lets you know that action has indeed been taken against reported users. You can see an example of the Player Action Report below:
It’s the team’s hope that this feature will show that they are listening to players and trying to deal with the threats reported to them. This feature will arrive in the v.40 update. Plus, the team is also starting to work on new methods to help lower the “toxicity” of the Paragon community in areas like chat rooms and even those who sabotage the game in order to get victory for the opposing team.
The Paragon team states that the community is a big part of the game, but that they should treat each other with respect, and it’s up to the dev team to make sure that the community is a fun place to interact with others. Which is good proof that they take the idea of harassment very seriously.
