Path of Exile started out about 10 years ago. It was started by a group of avid ARPG fans, ones that wanted to make something special. Fast forward 7 years later, and Path of Exile released to acclaim from both fans and critics. Including earning numerous awards, and even a game of the year award. Now, the team behind Path of Exile have announced the game is coming to Xbox One this year.
This is a big move for them, as the game already has over 16 million players just on the PC version. So moving to a console like the Xbox One will no doubt bring even more people to the title.
But, what is Path of Exile, aside from it being an ARPG? Well, the game is really focused on character customization. They made the game so that your choices matter in how your character evolves, and experimentation pays off, making it very replayable. Linking gems that awards skills and ones that develop supports will drastically change how your characters acts. But also, there are powerful items that completely change the way your character works. There are over 1,300 passive skills spread out on the skill tree that the game offers. There’s even socket jewels to modify the tree itself, how many games can say that
Crafting is another key part of the game. As just about everything can be done through crafting in some form. From items, to jewels, to chests you encounter and even the areas you play through, everything can be built upon or altered.
Now, when the game releases on Xbox One, it’ll include all the updates the game has gone through via the PC version. Including all five major expansions and the upcoming 3.0.0 update. So you’ll be getting the completed version when it arrives on the console.
