Path of Exile has been on a path of great progression as of late. The team at Grinding Gear Games has been working hard to ensure that their next expansion, Fall of Oriath, goes well, and as such, they’ve been doing a long beta to get the bugs worked out. To show players the results they’ve been getting because of the beta, they’ve been releasing weekly status reports, and in lieu of a big announcement tomorrow, they decided to reveal this week’s a little early on their website.
First up, this beta is essential because it helps fans give feedback about what they’re experiencing in the game and how it could change. The team even made a special Labyrinth feedback page to hear what you had to say. So far, they’re seeing that recent changes to the size and structure of it is going over well with players. However, the Izaro fight still seems a little off to them, so they’re going to make some improvements later.
Another thing the team has noticed is that Item Rewards aren’t very rewarding. Going through the Labyrinth is very dangerous, and if one chooses to explore it for the reason of getting better items, they should be rewarded for doing so, right? Well, the Path of Exile team agrees, and future updates will have better rewards.
There are other things changing as well, and the team is working right now on what they claim will be the final wave of changes for this beta. They’re going to be changing some of the maps around, poison and bleed damage is going to be worked on a bit, and of course, balance changes to make it all more fair. With these changes, and your feedback, Path of Exile will continue to grow as it makes its way to the expansion.
