BlizzCon 2017 was packed with news for just about every major Blizzard franchise, and World of Warcraft most definitely got some of the best news. For not only did they announce the next major expansion for the game, Battle For Azeroth, which features the Alliance and the Horde once again going to war, but it also featured a surprise. You see, players have been asking for a more “classic” version of the popular MMORPG, with some of them trying to make it themselves. Well now, Blizzard has agreed to make sure it happens.
Whether you want to call it World of Warcraft Classic or “Vanilla”, the intent is the same. It’s going to rewind the clock so that Azeroth is as it was when the game launched. Albeit with updated graphics and less bugs. But, there are still some question, mainly, just what will and will not be featured in said classic version? Well, a Redditor decided to help out with that. So, Boomkin4Lyfe made a survey that he wants players to take so that Blizzard can see what to do, and what not to do, in the game.
Some of the questions include whether some quests, abilities, areas, arenas, and monsters should be available at the very start of the game. Another interesting question is where cross-realm battlegrounds should be put into the game. Meaning, could similar Classic servers be able to battle one another.
Adding to that, there are questions about whether changes Blizzard made during the original game should be reverted. Like whether dungeons should have their original person limit and not the revised ones. How about the lands available to access? Should it just be the original lands in the game forever? Or, should the expansion lands be slowly added in?
It’s a fascinating survey, and it’s one we think you should check out if you want to be a part of the Classic server.
