Bungie has been in hot water recently because of Destiny 2, the game has been riddled with issues in the minds of its players. Between the gameplay issues, lack of content after the story ends, and more, players haven’t been very happy. What’s worse, Bungie seemed to have been ignoring the player base since launch, as many issues that they pointed out weren’t corrected. However, they have slowly been revealing that they have been listening to players, and even gave a “State of Address” on the game.
Fans were really happy that this happened, and for Redditor MRX93, they feel this should be a constant thing going forward. As in their mind, this should be used to help flesh out everything that Bungie is doing:
“Let “This Week At Bungie” fill in details week to week, I completely support a State of Destiny 2 article published once a month.”
It’s an interesting idea, and one that a lot of Destiny 2 players support. At the time of this post, 6600+ Redditors have upvoted the post, which shows that a lot of players want this kind of transparency from Bungie. And this would indeed go a long way to restoring some of the faith the players have in them.
Some Redditors weighed in on this issue, and for the majority they definitely want this State of Address every month. If for no other reason than it could be a great platform for not just feedback, but to have questions by the player base answered by the team. Many other developers do that in order to show just how much they listen to the players.
Bungie definitely needs to have good will going forward this month, as their first DLC for Destiny 2, Curse of Osiris, is coming soon, and they’ll definitely want that to do well. Guess we’ll see how it goes.
