PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is on a bit of a deadline right now. For the team has promised that the game would be launched in a much more official capacity before the end of the year. This includes being launched on the Xbox One system as well. But, delays and pushbacks have made it harder for fans to see that deadline being made. Especially since the first run of the test servers for the main game was bug filled to the extreme. However, hope is not lost just yet.
For on Steam, Bluehole revealed that the second test of the servers was going to be going on both this week and next week. For this week, the tests will run from the 21st-24th (depending on what time zone you’re in, check Steam for details), and next weeks test will be revealed soon. The server test will feature both first-person and third-person modes for all regions.
Bluehole notes that many familiar and new features will be in this new test build. Along with a plethora of changes, including the character weapons being optimized, being able to see weapons from a longer distance away, the world will be both better viewed and take up less data, and more.
They’re also taken the liberty of adjusting how much damage a person will take via where they get hit. So, if you get hit in the hands and feet, it’ll be less damage than if you got hit in the arms or thighs. Which brings up that healing time for bandages has been decreased by four seconds.
Furthermore, there are two new weapons in this build, the DP-28 and the AUG A3. The first can be found in the world itself, the other can be found in care packages.
This is just the tip of the iceberg, and you should check out the full Patch Notes before heading into these servers.
