New information has come to light regarding the next entry in the critically-acclaimed Pokémon series. Pokémon Sun and Moon has recently leaked starter’s final evolutions, which presented alternate versions of each pocket monster to choose from. These new versions included starters evolving into archers, wrestlers and sirens as well as new monsters being described as Overlords which harness special powers.
It has been reported through the leaked information that each area will have its own Pokémon overlord. This is rumoured to effectively replace the traditional Pokémon gym found in other games, in which players would battle their way to the gym leader in order to attain a badge, eventually collecting enough to participate in the Pokémon league against the Elite Four. Instead, players can participate in trial challenges, however there is the chance that trainers will be able to create there own gyms, though this is just a rumour at the moment.
Pokémon Sun and Moon was revealed back in February at the Nintendo Direct presentation following an online leak the day before. It is expected to release in Japan, North America and Australia on November 18th, followed by a European release on November 23rd. The game will take place in the tropical region of Alola, with the majority of the area being made up of islands.
