It’s always fascinating to see how games and gaming communities inspire one another, as well as inspire developer to make something special. Take for example the Steam Early Access title Prime Arena. This game wanted to take the idea of a MOBA, but then input gameplay styles and tactics that would be found in a game like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. What’s more, the gameplay aims to eliminate the toxicity that is usually found in the MOBA genre, among others. A brand new update has come for the game today, and here are the highlights.
First up, there will now be three more characters that you can play in the game at any time. Desperado, Steamrock, and Thunderer are going to be added to the weekly rotation of characters, so be on the lookout for that. What’s more, there have been many fixes and adjustments on the heroes side of things, including some bug fixes in the tooltips.
Moving onto the maps, the Touched have been reworked a little, as they’ve had their abilities redone so that they could better suit the items they drop in combat. Wholeskin can now regrow his shield if he hasn’t been attacked and damaged in a long time. Scissorhands is now much more dangerous as it can teleport behind foes to deal massive damage. Sirin Birds can now boost allies while weakening foes, and Spriggan’s can now make copies of themselves, and will get angry if they’re destroyed.
Finally, the UI has also been updated for Prime Arena. Some general tips can now be found on the loading screens for the game. When you enter a match, you will find the map is open, and you will be shown your location first and foremost. There’s also been a Tutorial button added to the lobby.
