If you’re looking to take out some aggression, and have a hankering for Ice Hockey with a dash of arcade nostalgia, then you’ll want to look no further than Bush Hockey League. Recently re-launching from Old Time Hockey, Bush Hockey League presents a classic arcade style sporting escapade with a retro 70s era feel. So don’t be expecting any helmets on show, but rather mass brawls and all the moustaches that you can handle out there on the rink.
The game most recently made its way to Xbox One, with V7 Entertainment’s Karthik Venkateshan commenting:
“It was a grind but we’re thrilled that Xbox One fans will finally get to experience the glory of Bush Hockey League!”
Bush Hockey League allows you to play as 10 original teams, each with a storied history in the background. If you decide to take on the Story mode, this will see you dragging the Schuylkill Hinto Brews from obscurity to victory. If this doesn’t take your fancy, then there is also both competitive and couch co-op to indulge in. You may even suffer from the age-old issue of wanting to play whilst supping a beer at the same time, and the game has you covered here too, thanks to the one-handed beer mode.
Bush Hockey League is now available to you on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Honestly, if arcade style sports games with plentiful old-school action are traits that appeal to you, then it’s definitely worth a game or two of your time.
