Developers giving updates about their games are an essential part of the process. However, sometimes they go the extra mile and do updates weekly, or sometimes even daily. This way, the players, or future players, know exactly what’s going on, and what they can expect as time goes on. For the Steam Game Pump-Action Captain, they have strived to give weekly updates about their title, and recap news that players might have missed. Though a little late, their latest one has come.
First, they have vastly improved the lighting system for the game. They believe it gives them a much more realistic look and feel, maybe even a gritter one. Furthermore, they’ve also improved the emmision effects on all the models. This gives off a very special glowing effects to lit surfaces. They also noted that they added some new animations, some new effects, and new mechanics into the game, thus giving a more rounded update.
Finally, the team revealed that the game is still on sale on Steam. But, that only dedicated players should try it now, as the current build is “horribly outdated”. They are however trying to remedy this and get a newer, better build up soon.
For those who are unaware, Pump-Action Captain is a first person shooter that has you traversing a vast labyrinth with only a shotgun as your weapon. You’ll have to collect loot, fight monsters, and stay alive long enough to get what you need. Further adding to the tenseness is that you only have ONE life. So if you die, you start all over again. The game is available on Steam for beta testing now.
