With suggestions from fans coming in thick and fast on what should be included in Destiny 2 that was somewhat absent from the first game, there is one hot topic that stands out, which focuses on the division between PvP and PvE gameplay.
This issue was recently raised on Reddit by user wallie123321, who argues:
PvE and PvP should be 100% separate in Destiny 2. PvE should not have to pay the sins of PvP.
In a lengthy post, the user continues to outline the issues that PvP nerfs have brought to the single player aspect of the game. This revelation came from participating in raids, in which ammunition rounds seemed to have shifted, and further weapons being “neutered” in both aspects of Destiny.
User toywrecker responded:
Suros as well.. it was an absolute PvE beast. I would use it for Crota and it just did work on whatever you put in front of it.
Toywrecker continues to emphasize the weapon’s use before the exotic perk was eventually nerfed, and now the weapon is simply lingering and gathering dust.
There’s no doubt that there is a large connection between both the PvP and PvE aspect of Destiny, possibly more so than many other games. But it does seem unfair to punish those who choose not to participate in the player versus player part of things. Hopefully this is something that Bungie could address in Destiny 2, and make a fair, joyous experience regardless of how players choose to approach the game.
