Today, Ubisoft has announced that the top eight teams from around the world will be going at it in the Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Pro League Season 3 Finals, which will take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil on November 18-19th.
The Finals will bring together four different regions from Asia-Pacific, Europe, North America and Latin America. For the first time ever, these eight teams coming together will be battling it out for a $275,000 prize pool, which brings the total Year 2 prize pool to $1,250,000 across all tournaments.
One of the teams that will be joining the Pro League will be Evil Geniuses, who are heading to the Season 3 Finals. Having previously acquired a roster from competing as Continuum, they are now joining 1nfamy in representing the North American region. It’ll certainly be interesting to see Evil Geniuses in particular taking part in the competition, and the fact that there is a huge prize pool to be won also. Whatever happens, we won’t have to wait much longer to check out all the action.
Ubisoft EMEA esports director François-Xavier Dénièle commented:
“We are very happy to welcome a team as prestigious as Evil Geniuses into the Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Pro League, one of the most renowned esports team. It is a strong signal of the Pro League’s growth towards a stronger and more global model.”
