Today, Revelation Online published a post about the PvE experience within the game. Basically, the post mentions how much the lore really means to Revelation Online and explains the basics for anyone that hasn’t been paying much attention in-game.
One of the most discussed and talked about topics in MMORPG’s are elements such as mechanics, graphics, classes, and whatnot. But my favorite topic to talk about in these type of games is indeed lore. Lore brings out many interesting stories that can be funny, sad, or horrific. Many players around the world love to theorize and even add their own twists to the stories that are told.
Each quest giver in Revelation Online has a specific sign above them so players can recognize what kind of quest they are performing. For example:
- Yellow – These are the main storyline quests.
- Violet – Training quests. More important for newbies that need a proper introduction to the game.
- Orange – Extra quests which are not related to the story. These quests can earn players many items for their character.
- Blue – Faction Quests. Players can gain lots of reputation points by finishing the objectives.
- Green – Daily/Weekly quests.
The game has about 20 factions that players can join and each of them has an individual story. Factions are most important for mission and the prizes that players get upon completing them.
The game offers six favor levels from amicable to exalted. While leveling up, players encounter many opportunities to earn more favor points.Upon earning favor points, players will receive many gifts, items, and so on. By reaching the maximum level, players will do a test. Successfully completing the test is great for anyone as it brings along many important items that can be only acquired that way.
There is one more method for acquiring great items and that is completing tasks for The Demonslaying Society. Their job is to keep peace amongst the mainland by killing monsters. When they reach level 30, players will be able to serve The Demonslaying Society.
