Nexon will soon be launching Riders of Icarus but before that one last CTB phase remains.
Recently, thanks to the awesome guys at Nexon, I was allowed to participate in a press demo for Riders of Icarus and it was a great experience to get to talk to the guys behind this one in a million fantasy themed MMORPG that combines traditional ways with an innovational mount and companion collecting system. Riders of Icarus was announced quite unexpectedly earlier this year and the CBT phases kicked off soon after. So far, I participated in all of them and it was well worth my time.
Riders of Icarus has a really promising endgame to offer with tons of 5-man dungeons with various difficulty settings and 10-man raids that require a great deal of teamwork and skill. Along with completing these well-designed PvE elements, you can also focus on collecting unique mounts and companions that are not easy to tame, to say the least.
The next CBT will bring the Action Mode which introduces various camera and control improvements that the community has been insisting on. Nexon shared the following regarding the new Action Mode:
“Riders of Icarus is our take on the classic MMORPG, so the game has a targeted keyboard/mouse control system that suits this genre. But, throughout Closed Beta 1 and Closed Beta 2, we saw feedback from Riders that they wanted a non-targeted action control system. In fact, we originally wanted to implement the new control system in Closed Beta 2, but unfortunately it had to be delayed. In Closed Beta 3, we are going to be able to introduce Action Mode.”
We are extremely excited about the nearing launch of Riders of Icarus, and I am really thankful for the opportunity to participate in the press demo that greatly improved my understanding of the game and I can confidently say that it is one of the most promising titles of the year. Don’t forget to grab a Founder’s Pack for Riders of Icarus and enjoy the various rewards that come along with them.
