Riot Games is a developer who aims to keep their gaming community at the forefront, especially when it comes to tweaking, updating, and building up their title League of Legends. They often go to the community for suggestions on what to make new, or what to make different, and what to fix, and what to keep the same. But also, they just like answering the questions of the community, which is why they do Q&A’s.
The team at Riot Games held another Q&A, one that focused on their thoughts on the champions themselves, both in a in-game setting, and a “real life” one. For example, one question was about whether Riot approved of champions being used in “off roles”, meaning they were being used for their intended purposes.
The team stated that they LOVED that this was happening. Which actually goes in line with their changes to the game in regards to bans in personal and professional play. They’ve long believed that the true power of League of Legends is to see the different ways the champions can be used, meaning that they want to see how versatile players can get with the champions when they think outside the box. They noted that the mages being used in support roles only happened recently, yet the game seems stronger for it, as it has opened up more possibilities for gameplay.
On the lighter side of the Q&A, a fan asked what champion the team would choose as a bodyguard. The team noted that their choice would have to not only be about who could defend them, but who they would like to actually spend a lot of time with. So Braum became the selection because of his kind nature.
