There is currently a new patch for Overwatch in development, which is now available for testing. The changes being made will affect PS4 and Xbox One versions also, thought the PTR is strictly PC-only.
The main highlight when creating the PTR patch revolves around Roadhog, after a server stability issue was traced back to the one-man apocalypse. Therefore, Roadhog has been disabled on the PTR whilst troubleshooting continues. It’s worth keeping in mind that the disability only affects the PTR, and will not be affecting the live servers if you’d like to play as Roadhog. As for when he will be back in action, the patch notes state the following:
We don’t have an ETA for when Roadhog will be playable again, but we are investigating the issue and will provide updates on the PTR forums as they become available.
There has also been a catalog of bug fixes made with this patch, one of which includes the fixing of an issue which prevented player portrait borders from loading whilst players are in the match status or Hero select screen. There has also been an issue with stopping players from adding spectators to deathmatches in the custom game lobby, which has also been seen to.
As for Hero changes, these have been applied to a number of different characters. The bug that caused Ana’s sidearm to give off a bright light has been fixed, whilst Ganymede will now make the appropriate roadrunner noises when Bastion has the Dune Buggy skin equipped. Mercy’s ultimate icon will now display properly when hacked by Sombra, and the animation bug which saw Widowmaker’s knees snap together when jumping has been fixed.
