Rocket League continues to be one of the most popular video games of recent memory. Which is saying something as it came out in 2015 and we’re almost at the end of 2017. The game has brought over those two years new modes, new decals, new systems to play on (including the upcoming port to the Nintendo Switch) and of course, brand new cars to drive. And in a new update, the team at Psyonix revealed a “sequel” to one of their previous DLC packs.
If you love the Fast & Furious movies then you know that they have some of the best cars ever in the films. And with 8 films released, that’s a lot of cars. But a few stand out above the rest. Rocket League has already brought some of the cars from the franchise into the game, but now, they’re bringing in two more.
The ‘70 Dodge Charger R/T and the ’99 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 (driven by Dom and Brian) will be available separately for only $1.99 a piece. And what’s more, they arrive next week on October 11th. Check out the trailer for the cars.
These cars will be available for all platforms, including the Nintendo Switch version when it arrives later this holiday season. Which is poetic, as that Switch port will be getting three unique cars all to its self via the Mario & Luigi cars, and a slick racer representing the Metroid franchise.
Psyonix is continuing to bring more and more to the game, and they’re beginning beta tests for a new feature that’ll allow more streamlined parties to get together in Rocket League. And of course, they’re at the forefront of Crossplay in video games, something that they truly think is the future of gaming.
Don’t be surprised though if they continue to crank out new rides like these every once in a while just to keep things fresh.
