There’s a definite line in the sand between gamers who want their MMOs to improve over time, and ones that desire for their game to remain what it was when they came into it. For RuneScape, that’s an interesting thing, as the title has maintained its look over the years, but has evolved greatly in gameplay. For those who want a special old school throwback, The Chambers of Xeric are for you.
In this very old school RuneScape dungeon are Xeric’s mightiest commanders, fallen from grace. Among others, you’ll face disgraced generals, master artisans, and (of course) a megalomaniac former high priest. These bosses are meant to put your skills to the test, and prove a challenge for even the most experienced PvMers.
Your performance in battle will earn you points towards your end rewards with both individual score & team score mattering. What does that mean? Well, it means that everyone must pull their weight for the greater good, not to mention in order to get the best rewards! Be cautious however, deaths will deduct from your individual score, so exercise caution in the Chambers of Xeric.
Another interesting note here is the uptick in difficulty. The Chambers will dynamically scale the difficulty to provide a challenge suitable for your party. Not only will they scale based on the size of your party, but also adjust themselves to ensure they provide a challenging & engaging battle for all of those who are involved. So prepare yourself for a challenge, it may seem easy at first, but it’ll get harder as it goes on.
So, if you’re looking for a fun way to experience old RuneScape, this update is for you.
