In case you haven’t heard, Square Enix is making a full-on remake of one of the most popular RPGs of all time in Secret Of Mana. Many agree that this title is the most popular game in the Mana franchise, which is no small feat in and of itself. But, it’s been clear for a while that Square Enix doesn’t just want to improve the graphics with this remake, they want to add to the game as well. So, on Steam today, they revealed some all new features that the game will have.
One feature that will actually be returning from the original Secret Of Man is co-op multiplayer. This will be an offline feature, but will allow you to play with up to two friends, so don’t out on the chance to do that. But, there will be some improvements to the system. For example, when one player chooses to cast some magic, the other players won’t have to wait for them to finish, they’ll be able to continue playing themselves.
The soundtrack to Secret of Mana is going to be completely redone, no doubt to help bring the grandness of the game out to a whole new level. Don’t worry though, if you liked the original soundtrack, the game will have that too.
A very big addition to this remake are “interlude episodes”, these will be fully new scenes and interactions featuring the characters that’ll happen throughout the game, adding even more to it.
Other additions include a Game Log, where you’ll be able to look back at what the main character, Randi, has done so far. Plus, the new version will have achievements.
The team promises that there are more updates and changes coming, so you should stay tuned for that. Are you eager to get the new and improved Secret Of Mana?
