For many, one of the most important days in a video games life is when it’s release date is announced, that way players can get pumped for playing it soon. For fans of RPGs, especially old-school isometric style RPGs, you will be happy to hear that Seven: The Days Long Gone will be available December 1st. Along with it though are two different versions that you can get, including getting them via GOG and the Humble Bundle store, so you have options.
But, what is Seven: The Days Long Gone? Well, it’s an action-RPG where you play as a master thief named Teriel. During his life, he’s tried to avoid one place, a prison island called Peh. But, events conspire against him and he’s sent to the island. Now, he must not only escape the island, but unravel a tangled web of lies, deceit, and conspiracy. Will you get off the island?
The game’s isometric style gives Seven: The Days Long Gone an old-school look, but perfectly suits the skills of Teriel. For as a master thief he’ll be able to climb jump, and bound off of objects to do what needs to be done. And with the island of Peh being so huge, you’re actually able to go anywhere you want, anytime you want. Just be mindful of the enemies that will get in your way at times. You can also choose how Teriel players. Will you have him be a pure thief, one who lurks in the shadows and never reveals himself? Or, will you take the fight to the enemy head on? It’s completely your call.
There’s an array of very interesting characters on Peh, and many of them are not on your side. Be wary, be mindful, be sneaky, be cunning, and most importantly…be alive to stop what’s coming.
