Shardbound is an Early Access title which combines tactical turn-based combat with Collectible Card Game elements. The game launched its Early Access on April 6th, 2017, and so far it only got praise from its players. Shardbound is definitely an interesting game that you should try out if you’re a fan of turn-based combat and the creative freedom that CCGs bring to the table, but today we will be talking about the newest patch that the game had received.
The patch brings some small balance changes, but the bigger change that came to Shardbound with this patch is the update on the tutorial’s UI. You see, with a game with as many mechanics as Shardbound, you really want your players to go through the tutorial as efficiently as possible, and this change will give the players more insight into the tutorial and what it offers. The missions on the overworld were quite confusing in their old placeholder state, especially for the new players, so a new and simpler UI was added to make things easier for everyone.
For those of you that don’t follow the developer streams, we have some previews of the upcoming units, like the Voice of the Squall that you can see in the picture above. The art style for Shardbound is quite outstanding, and it just keeps getting better, as we can see with the Skywatch Dragoon down below.
Lastly, we want to mention the upcoming map that is coming to the game called Lost highlands, that features twists, turns, and an intensely close clash point with only one available high ground tile, meaning it will be a key position to take control of in order to increase your odds.
