It’s been one month since the alpha build of Shards Online got launched, and according to the developers, it has been a huge success thanks to everyone. Since the launch, a lot of updates, patches, and optimizations were made to increase the server stability. Shards Online is also getting released on Steam, and the NDA is being lifted.
In the upcoming months, the developers plan to launch the game on Steam. Now, the question that everyone kept asking themselves is how will the players that already supported the project come to the Steam version of the game? Well, the ones that already made Shards Online possible will get a special treatment.
Those who pledge before the crowdfunding campaign ends, get a 1-week head start on the official servers before the Steam Release. The Loyalty Store got improved. Lifetime loyalty earned will get you special in-game titles. Also, all loyalty points that were spent during Alpha will get refunded.
Since the developers enjoyed seeing all the people who streamed the game and shared videos of playing the game, they decided to give the players even more opportunities to show their experiences with the game.
Now, any information that you obtain by playing via the official game client can be shared. The Experimental Client will remain under NDA and is restricted to only Founder’s Level and up, this access is granted to people who pledged $75 and more. The NDA will remain in full effect for any new development.
The second official mod server, Sanctuary, also launched, and it features a 700 Skill Cap, 225 Stat Cap, legendary magic items, player killing, the ability to craft and wield your own spellbook, and so on.
