As if things couldn’t be any worse for EA in the public eye at the moment, particularly surrounding the constant controversy over Star Wars Battlefront II, it now seems that the recently released console version of The Sims 4 is suffering from some pretty serious issues.
It seems that a lot of players have been reporting that this particular version of the game has been suffering from game-breaking issues, with PS4 and Xbox players stating that they are either unable to save, or the existing save files have become corrupted.
These aren’t uncommon issues in gaming, particularly in new releases. However, considering that The Sims 4 has now been around for a while now prior to coming to consoles, it seems as if EA should probably have spent a lot more time testing it out on these new platforms before releasing them.
As mentioned before, this has fallen at a bad time for EA, with the whole loot box fiasco going on in the blockbuster release of Battlefront II. That incident will have had an undesired effect on the company without a doubt, so any other issues with EA titles at this moment is simply piling on the pressure. Hopefully with everything that is going on, it won’t overshadow The Sims 4’s release on consoles too much.
