Skyforge is currently under maintenance to implement the latest patch, dubbed War Eternal.
Following its weekly maintenance schedule, the sci-fi MMORPG Skyforge went offline today at 1 a.m. PST to implement War Eternal, the latest update. It brings a collection of changes and enhancements, including a new season of the Pantheon Wars that has players fighting for an opportunity to visit an Aelion satellite where they can acquire resources to increase the number of class talents, adjustments to Flavius’s laboratory, changing how invasions are handled, rebalance of the Squad Adventures, hotfixes to the interface, and many more. The maintenance will last for approximately 5 hours and the full patch notes can be checked at the official website.
Developed by Allods Team in collaboration with Obsidian Entertainment, Skyforge is a Russian sci-fi MMORPG where players can become gods. In the world of Aelion inhabits a powerful and technologically advanced race of gods that together form a massive pantheon. Ascending to god-like status is no easy task, however, as the player characters themselves have to work their way up the ranks by unveiling many secrets and dealing with the conflicts that plague Aelion.
Officially released in 2015, Skyforge was one of the most anticipated online games of its generation until the coming of the open beta test. Players were disappointed with Skyforge’s execution, primarily the hybrid between action and tab targeting combat, the use of multiple currencies, some of which could be easily acquired through the cash shop, and the many performance issues. The developers have been working hard to deliver additional content whilst improving the game’s overall presentation, yet they never managed to get rid of the pre-release stigma.
Skyforge is available for Windows PC exclusively from the My.com launcher, available at the official website.
