Good news for all the StarCraft 2 players—the weekly mutation contest is now live in-game!
Several months ago, Blizzard Entertainment opened a contest and called all StarCraft 2 players to put their creative minds in action for a weekly in-game event. Many players felt like this was a good way to contribute to the game that they enjoy playing and started presenting their ideas through the Blizzard Entertainment forums. After a long discussion, The Injustice League idea won the grand prize and was selected to be part of the StarCraft 2 game.
The idea behind The Injustice League is based on defending your city from waves of enemy heroes. The heroes are sent by Amon, who opened a dark void to destroy the city with dark copies of your heroes as aces up his sleeves. At the start, Amon will send easier waves of heroes such as Urun, Karass Taris, etc., which are just a little bit stronger than the base units in game. Over time, the waves will turn out to be increasingly stronger, and high-tier heroes such the Odin, the Archangel, Zagara, and Nova will appear.
The point is to get slowly stronger for the final waves, which are supposed to be the hardest. But not everything is as easy as it seems, as the heroes’ order is completely random on defending points and different heroes are assigned to different voids.
In order to fight the enemy heroes, you have three abilities which you can use:
Heroes from the Storm: Every attack wave will be led by Heroes of increasing power.
Inspiration: Enemy Heroic units increase the attack speed and armor of all enemies within a small range.
Hardened Will: Enemy Heroic units reduce all incoming damage to a maximum of 10 when any non-heroic enemy unit is near them.
The comments about this idea are positive and players are rushing to test it. Check it out and share your experience with us in the comments below.
