It’s basically common knowledge that if a game is highly anticipated until launch and it flops that fans aren’t going to be too pleased. Steam has come up with a refund policy where you can get a full refund on a game if, you’ve played it for less than two hours and two weeks hasn’t passed since your purchase, which is pretty fair. However, with all of the complaints and dissatisfaction that has been reported for No Man’s Sky, it seems like they’ve made an exception.
Apparently Steam has been giving out refunds way past the 2-hour mark. In fact, there have been reports of people getting refunds after playing the game for 70 hours plus.
This shows just how disappointed fans are, but Hello Games has been promising to patch things to make a better experience for all players.
It seems to be much harder to receive a refund with the PS4 version as there are very few reported cases and those that have been reported, the online representatives have said that those were special circumstances and by no means the norm.
No Man’s Sky is being very poorly received right now and this is having a pretty big impact on Hello Games credibility.
