Downloadable content may be a way of life for most video games, but what constitutes as DLC for some is up to interpretation. Some people think of it as a simple thing, while others craft large DLC extensions of the main game. But at its core, it’s supposed to expand the game in a meaningful way, and it’s in that vein that Steel Division: Normandy 44 is announcing its “Second Wave” DLC, giving you more ways to play and win.
As noted on the Steam page, this DLC will bring four new sets of divisions that you can control in the game, spanning many counties in the war, including: The US 4th Armored Division, the British 1st Special Service Brigade, the German 9. Panzerdivision and the 16. Luftwaffen-Felddivision. All in all, the DLC will bring 35 more units to Steel Division: Normandy 44, giving you all-new ways for you to dominate your opponent on the battlefield. And it won’t be just tanks either, there will be planes too, and other vehicles as well.
The best part? You aren’t going to have to wait long for this DLC! It’s coming out on September 21st and will only cost $7.99 to get everything. But wait, there’s more! The team behind the game love giving out new content, and though Second Wave is paid, there is four sets of free DLC coming soon. There will be an all-new game mode, an ace vehicle pack, a unit pack, and a co-op mission pack! That’s a lot of new content.
Steel Division: Normandy 44 brings RTS and WWII genres together in an incredibly accurate field of play complete with accurate historical units from all sides of the war. You’ll have to command your troops in battle and adapt to the presence of the enemy to survive and win the day.
