Players have been wondering, how the Uncharted 4 co-op will develop further down the line. Well, with the reveal of Survival mode, we can say that it’s going in the right direction.
Uncharted 4: Survival is the newest mode that’s being added, and it can be played both solo or with your friends. It will make its public hands-on appearance at PlayStation Experience next week, and it will launch somewhere mid-December, so it’s only less than a month away.
As you can imagine, Survival will be wave-based mode of Uncharted 4 where you can go alone, or together with two friends, and tackle hordes of enemies that get increasingly powerful, so do your best to survive and complete the unique objectives of the mode. For those players that are familiar with the Co-Op Arena from Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3, Survival will be nothing strange to you, so you’ll get used to it in no time.
50 waves and 10 maps are going to provide a lot of difficult, enjoyable gameplay as you encounter Shoreline mercenaries, heavily armored Brutes, Snipers, Hunters, and then you go up against the Pirate Warlords, immensely powerful bosses that will do their best to end your life.
Survival will have random effects that pop up from time to time, which will make the mode a lot more difficult, but also fun! Defeating enemies and completing objectives gives you in-game money which is used to unlock weapons and gear via arsenal crates that you can find all around the map.
For players that like unlocking new items, Survival has its own dedicated progression system, Relic Challenges, and loadouts! Of course, exclusive vanity items only obtainable in this mode are going to be added so you can boast with that in both Survival and Multiplayer!
