My Time At Portia is a simulation open world RPG with a post-apocalyptic setting where the humans are few and far between. The developers of this RPG decided to do a Kickstarter campaign, which will definitely make it easier for them to finish this game and make it as polished as possible. September 11th is when the Kickstarter campaign begins, and it will run for 30 days, with a goal of $100,000. My Time At Portia’s Early Access has also been pushed back, and it will now be available in January.
Smaller studios like Pathea Games often utilize a boost from services like Kickstarter, using campaigns to help fund their plans to release a huge project. So it’s up to the players and fans to support them if they want to see them succeed. Also, these are the people that made Planet Explorers, quite a well-received open-world sandbox RPG, so My Time At Portia has the potential to be great as well.
You can wait for the Early Access of the game, which is coming in January next year, but the game will also get an alpha 3.0 version that will be available to Kickstarter supporters in late October. The reason that the Early Access version was pushed back was due to the game not being polished up enough, so you may want to wait until January to try it out.
The Early Access version of My Time At Portia will be sold for $19.99, and the game’s final version is set to come out on August 18. Be on the lookout for the Kickstarter campaign when it begins later this month.
