It appears that Trion Worlds have managed to fix the issues facing ArcheAge since the 3.0 update. The game was suffering from lengthy queue times on its fresh servers, as we previously reported.
The two fresh servers, operating in North America and Europe, experienced queues of around three hours in some cases, with some players remaining in the queues even when they were not there, in the hopes of finally getting a place when they return. Since then however, players have reported on ArcheAge forums that they are no longer experiencing queues to get into the game, and are able to access ArcheAge with ease.
Trion Worlds have also implemented an AFK kick feature to the game’s legacy forums. This prevents those who are away from the game to take up a place in a queue, and will eventually be kicked for any inactivity. Fans in North America have called for a third fresh server to be implemented on one particular thread, though whether this will actually come to fruition, or if it would improve the quality of life for ArcheAge remains to be seen.
There is still an air of skepticism from fans who have managed to access ArcheAge easily this morning. For now, the servers appear to be running smoothly, lag free and no queues. Its understandable that a few may remain pessimistic regarding the situation, given how long they’ve had to wait previously to gain access.
