Ubisoft will be releasing the beta for their upcoming title For Honor tomorrow. The beta will last until the 12th, and aims to give players a good taste of what’s to come when the game launches in full on the 14th. However, as a streamer detailed in a Reddit post (that has been subsequently taken down) Ubisoft has already made “improvements” to the beta.
Mainly, this comes in the form of nerfs and adjustments to their faction classes. In the game, you play as either a Viking, a Samurai, or a Knight, and within each faction has classes that have unique weapons and play styles compared to the others in their faction.
Here is the breakdown of the classes that got affected. For the Orochi class, the Storm Rush stamina penalty when you parry has been fixed. Also, the attack indicator is visible during the run part of Storm Rush.
For the Peacekeeper, the range on your Zone Attack has been reduced from 4.3m to 3.5m. In addition, your bleed damage on stabs has been decreased. These likely indicate that Ubisoft believed this class was a bit too powerful heading into beta.
On the Warlord side, the range on the Headsplitter Leap has been reduced from 4m to 3.5m, and the stamina damage reduced from 40 to 20. Furthermore, the Headbutt will no longer be cancelled into guardbreak. Not only that, but the Full Block Stance now has an entry stamina cost of 15 instead of 5.
Finally, for the Kensei class, your HP has been increased from 115 to 125. Along with your Light attack damage being increased to 20. This also goes for your Helmsplitter and Swift Strike attacks.
Apparently these aren’t the only changes, but they were the ones the streamer found and documented, there could be a lot more changes when you get into the beta for For Honor. So, if you play it today, let us know what you think of the changes, as well as the game itself!
